Spring Accounting Internship

by Jennifer Fink

The Spring Accounting Internship (SAI) program offers Villanova accounting majors a unique opportunity for immersive, real-world experience during the accounting industry’s “busy season.” In the spring of their junior year, students work full-time at accounting firms, gaining practical knowledge and professional skills. This internship counts as six free elective credits toward their degree.

SAI is structured to help students maintain full-time status and stay on track for a four-year graduation. Students can complete up to 12 credits through accelerated spring mini-mester courses or by taking classes in the summer after junior year. The program is also a great fit for students who are double majors and exploring different career paths. The SAI program allows students to complete a junior-level internship experience and leaves the following summer open for another experience of the student’s choosing – internship, summer courses, study abroad, etc.. — the choices are endless!

Beyond gaining valuable, hands-on industry experience, participating in SAI often opens doors to full-time job offers from host firms, giving students a clear advantage as they transition into their careers.

Sophomores interested in SAI are encouraged to begin planning early and to attend an upcoming info session to explore how the program can complement their academic journey.

Firms are already recruiting for 2026 opportunities, so don’t hesitate to begin exploring if this program is the right fit for you! Those interested are encouraged to contact Jennifer Fink (jennifer.fink@villanova.edu) from VSB’s O’Donnell Center for Professional Development to learn more.
