Submit your resume and select a time slot to meet with a representative at an organization you want to learn more about! These are casual conversations where you can ask about the company, the industry, their opportunities, and showcase yourself – your academic background, skills, and interests.
Spend just 20-minutes between the Liberal Arts & Business Career Fair and STEM Career Fair on Feb 5th, to have a more in-depth, 1:1 conversation with one of the employers in attendance. Open to all students. Students from underrepresented identities and first-gen students strongly encouraged to participate. Never done a coffee chat before? What to Expect from the Career Fairs: There are 40+ employers who will be attending each Career Fair to speak with Villanova students about internship and job opportunities at their organizations. You can find a full list of employers and the positions they are recruiting for on Handshake (linked for each Career Fair above). The event is open to all class years and majors. Even if you are not currently looking for a position, we encourage you to attend to learn about companies of interest for the future in a no-pressure environment.
We are here to help you prepare!
- Attend the Prepare for the Fairs Workshop on Monday, January 27, from 6:00-7:00 pm on Zoom.
- Get your resume reviewed at the Spring 2025 Employer Resume Review Day on Wednesday, January 29, from 3:00-6:00 pm in Dougherty Hall, West Lounge. Get a quick, 10-minute resume review from an employer representative from the industry of your choosing. Informal, drop-in-style event (no pre-registration required), just bring a printed copy of your resume.
- Stop by the special Prepare for the Fairs Drop-ins in The SUITE in the Office of Belonging and Inclusion in Corr Hall Rm 109: Tuesday, September 4, 12:30-2:00 pm.
- Visit Career Center drop-ins hours (Monday-Thursday 12-2 pm in Garey Hall Rm 117 and Friday 12-2 virtually on Zoom) or schedule an appointment with a Career Center staff member in Handshake to discuss any questions.
Tips to Prepare for the Career Fairs:
- Research the companies attending the event by reviewing company pages in Handshake and company websites. Come up with a list of companies you’re interested in speaking with.
- Create or update your resume. Check out the sample resumes and guide for ideas! You’ll want to bring multiple printed copies with you to the fair.
- Develop and practice your elevator pitch including a brief introduction of who you are, what you are studying, and what types of opportunities you are interested in.
- Learn some tips for how to evaluate an organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Pick out your outfit so you feel confident at the fair. Need professional clothing? Book an appointment in Handshake for the Wildcat Wardrobe (found under Specialty Appointments) where you can pick out FREE professional clothing.
