Pennsylvania just passed a law to remove the requirement that all CPA hopefuls complete 150 credit hours before taking the CPA exams. Governor Josh Shapiro signed the Bill that included this revision on June 30.
The original rules stated that CPA candidates must have earned a Master’s degree or Bachelors degree with 150 total credit hours at an accredited institution and have one year of qualifying work experience and then pass all CPA exams
Under the new law you can still go the traditional route, or you can have earned your Bachelors degree or higher with 120 total credit hours and two years of qualifying work experience and have passed all CPA exams.
