What You’ll Be Doing
As a dermatology medical assistant, you’ll play a direct role in patient care and clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting physicians with dermatologic procedures such as biopsies and cosmetic treatments
- Preparing patients for exams and ensuring a comfortable, efficient visit
- Accurately documenting patient histories, treatments, and care plans
- Educating patients on skincare, medications, and post-procedure care
- Managing clinical supplies and supporting daily office workflow
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining exam room readiness
- Gaining the opportunity to earn certification as a dermatology medical assistant
What They’re Looking For
SMG is seeking candidates who are organized, reliable, and able to thrive in a busy clinical setting. Ideal applicants will have:
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Previous medical assistant experience (dermatology experience is a plus, but not required)
- Availability to work at least 32 hours per week
- A commitment of one to two years
