2027 Seasonal Tax Position
Our Madison, WI office is looking for seasonal Tax Preparers to join our team! This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience and a detailed working knowledge of the individual tax system via hands-on tax return preparation. You will be learning from and trained directly by experienced senior accountants, tax managers and partners. During this position, you will learn how to prepare a tax return from start to finish, understand how to apply relevant areas of the tax code, develop techniques for problem solving and researching unique tax scenarios, learn to professionally communicate with clients and gain real, practical, experience in public accounting.
This Seasonal Tax Preparer position will run from the end of January 2027 through April 15th, 2027. This is a full or part-time position, but must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. We will work out schedule specifics upon hire.
Qualifications:
- Working toward a degree in accounting, or 1+ years prior tax preparation experience
- Must be organized, able to meet filing deadlines, and work with the highest degree of confidentiality
- Strong accounting and analytical skills necessary.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to ask questions and a desire to learn
