In this role, you will perform engineering analyses to determine the causes, conditions, and circumstances of automotive crashes. Specifically, your work will entail inspecting scenes and vehicles involved in a crashes, analyzing vehicle on-board data, determining the kinematic motion of the vehicles, and presenting your findings.

Job responsibilities to initially include, but are not limited to:

  • Critically reviewing technical and non-technical materials, including police reports, witness statements and testimony, investigative file materials, photographs, and videos
  • Extracting and synthesizing key findings from materials reviewed and preparing summaries for internal and external (client) presentations
  • Analyzing and interpreting on-board event data recorders
  • Managing large-scale projects and interacting with colleagues and clients in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicating complex crash reconstruction analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and presentation format.

Candidate requirements:

  • Bachelors Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • General working knowledge of automotive design and functionality
  • Self-starter who thrives in a small-team environment with minimum of supervision.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required (generally limited to domestic locations).
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
