Join Macquarie’s growing New York Credit team, where you’ll partner closely with trading desks to assess and manage credit risk across a diverse portfolio of fund counterparties supporting a dynamic global markets business. This role offers hands-on exposure to hedge funds, private equity, derivatives, and live deal flow, alongside seasoned professionals, providing outstanding learning, visibility, and career development in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will support Macquarie’s trading businesses by performing credit analysis of fund counterparties, including hedge funds, regulated funds, private credit funds, and private equity firms, to facilitate trading activity across Commodities and Global Markets. This opportunity involves establishing and reviewing counterparty credit limits, conducting annual reviews, and providing real-time monitoring of exposures and evolving market or counterparty risks. Work closely with traders and other stakeholders early in the deal process to identify key credit issues, recommend risk mitigants, and support derivative transactions, including review and negotiation of legal documentation.
Salary range for this position: $100,000 – $110,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. * Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
* Familiar with Credit analysis of fund counterparties, including hedge funds and private equity, with experience in limit setting, reviews, and exposure monitoring
* Understanding of trading and derivative products, with the ability to assess credit risk in support of real‑time trading activity
* Ability to articulate credit views confidently and collaborate effectively across teams
