Our company is currently searching for a detail-oriented and qualified tax account to prepare our tax payments and returns. As the tax accountant, your chief goal will be to recommend effective tax strategies that comply with laws and promote our company’s financial well-being. Your responsibilities will include preparing tax returns, analyzing tax regulations, and completing tax reports.
To excel in this role, you must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of accounting procedures and time management skills, as you’ll have to ensure our company meets strict deadlines. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate keen attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Review tax returns, including personal returns (1040s), business returns (1120, 1120S and 1065s) estate tax returns (706) and trusts (1041) and the supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Organize and update client’s profile regularly
- Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments
- Identify and resolve basic tax errors
- prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
- Analyze and process tax information
- Assist with other administrative matters if the opportunities arise
Skills
- Strong analysis, problem solving, and research skills; can gather, assess and interpret information and comprehend financial impacts of business decisions
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with accounting and financial information systems/applications
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and ability to learn new systems
- English and/or Chinese
