Expected Responsibilities
• Create social media content using existing footage and new content captured at events
• Edit short-form videos for reels and posts (basic editing skills required)
• Attend select retreats and events to capture photos, video clips, and testimonials
• Support event-day logistics such as guest greetings and light coordination
• Organize and label content after events for marketing use
• Assist with newsletter preparation (content gathering, light editing, visuals)
• Repurpose content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Participate in short weekly check-ins for updates, questions, and task alignment
• Support simple monthly bookkeeping checks and administrative organization
• Collaborate on monthly content themes based on The Florrest’s existing strategy
Specific Skills
• Basic photo and video capture (phone or camera)
• Basic video editing for social platforms
• Canva or similar design tools
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to organize files, follow processes, and meet deadlines
• Comfort interacting with guests with professionalism and warmth
• Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
Minimum Requirements
• Graduate student in marketing, communications, business, media, or related field
• Ability to be on-site for select events (30 minutes from Macon)
• Reliable transportation to The Florrest for event days
• Comfort with behind-the-camera work for content capture
• Ability to work 5–10 hours per week (mix of remote + in-person)
• Willingness to participate in verbal check-ins for clarity and updates
• Interest in wellness, nature, storytelling, or purposeful community building
• Internship eligibility for academic credit through Mercer University
