The State of Indiana is preparing to occupy a new, purpose-built facility and requires labor to move and reshelve its archival holdings and related equipment into the new space. The in-scope materials are historically significant and irreplaceable, requiring safe handling and tracking to ensure that they are placed onto their mapped destinations without incident and in the State’s desired order.
Project Term: The anticipated duration of this project is from June 15, 2026 to July 15, 2026.
Pay Rate: $15-$18 depending on qualifications and experience
Background Check: applicants must pass a background check and drug screening panel
Daily Schedule: Work will be performed across two shifts (7:30am – 1:30pm, 1:00pm – 7:00pm), Monday through Friday plus non-holiday Saturdays, including two unpaid 15 minute breaks per shift. Shortened weeks, owing to holidays, may require slightly longer shifts in order to meet weekly hours targets; in these cases, workers will have one unpaid 30 minute break if they work at least 6.5 hours on a given day.
● Remove boxes from shelves at multiple levels using careful, trained handling techniques
● Attention to detail and careful work methodology is required
● Work carefully within an archive shelving environment under the supervision of Iron Mountain staff
● Be able to lift and shift boxes up to 50 lbs
● Maintaining a clean and clear workspace with minimal noise will be required
● Wear appropriate project work attire for handling collections materials. This includes minimal jewelry, long hair being tied back, vendor identified shirt, closed toed shoes
● Gum or candy is not permitted to be consumed on the worksite
● Smoking on worksite is prohibited
● Phone use will be limited during working hours
