Overview
East West Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the southeast commercial banking team located in Atlanta, GA. This candidate will help evaluate and analyze new business requests as well as monitor and review the southeast’s existing portfolio.
Responsibility
- Able to demonstrate moderate to superior skills in financial statement spreading and the evaluation of projections.
- Support Relationship Manager / Portfolio Manager in evaluating, recommending, managing bank loans and other forms of bank credit.
- Understand the Bank’s credit policy and procedures.
- Keeps informed of current underwriting practices
- Assist in accurately risk-rating loans/credits.
- Evaluate both cash-flow and collateral-based loans/credits.
- Perform cash Flow Modeling and Quarterly Credit Monitoring Report (QMR)
- Facilitate in developing problem loan credit solutions.
- May support team portfolio sizes ranging between $50-250MM.
- Assist with portfolio management, Loan Monitoring and updating ONTRACK Reports in compliance with C&I and CRE Desktop Procedures
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualification
- Bachelors’ Degree or higher with the applicable concentration in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Communications or equivalent experience.”
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.25
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Varied underwriting experience
- Proficient in industry research & analysis
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
